500 billion paper cups and 50 billion plastic lids are consumed in the world.

Making a difference in the sector with its recyclable and sustainable products, Bonna drew attention to the use of paper cups and plastic containers in the food and beverage sector at Coffex 2023. Supporting the Cevze/Ibrik and Barista Championship organized by the Speacial Coffee Association with its environmentally friendly and healthy products, Bonna invited coffee lovers to show nature the kindness and care it deserves.

Bonna Marketing Manager Esra Karaduman, who presented the third prize of the competition, stated that they put the concept of sustainable production at the center of their brand identity and said, “In our country, especially in recent years, coffee and paper cups cannot be recycled at a rate of 99 percent due to the plastic coating inside and they become waste. We can make this consumption positive for our world with simple steps such as using porcelain and recyclable products.”

Karaduman continued his speech as follows:

“Today, coffee has become a product that is consumed with pleasure, and its varieties and production are respected. Today, 53% of consumers drink more than 2 cups of coffee a day. We, as Bonna, have included the concept of “Be The Barista” in our Bonna Experience Collection, which we have specially designed for culinary enthusiasts who want to create gourmet tastes and extraordinary presentations in their homes with the awareness of the point coffee has reached. In addition, we have brought our Softline collection, which we aim to reduce the use of paper cups and plastic cups in the food and beverage industry, to our users.”
