Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues its meetings within the scope of the 2053 Kocaeli Intelligent Transportation Systems Action Plan. In this context, meetings and field trips are held in order to develop the Intelligent Transportation Systems in the city.
INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which has made huge investments in transportation, continues to work in order to meet the transportation demands of citizens in a safe, environmentally friendly and comfortable way. The Metropolitan Municipality, which has prepared the 2053 Kocaeli Intelligent Transportation Systems Action Plan, is establishing Intelligent Transportation Systems in the city in line with this plan.
'2053 KOCAELİ SMART TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS ACTION PLAN'
The Metropolitan Municipality, which turns to Intelligent Transportation Systems by making use of developing information technologies, is working to design and implement an advanced city management system for Kocaeli that includes Intelligent Transportation System components, urban road and local traffic control. For this purpose, the '20 Kocaeli Intelligent Transportation Systems Action Plan' project, the contract of which was signed on March 2023, 2053, is carried out by the Department of Transportation, Intelligent and Sustainable Transportation Systems Branch.
MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION MEETING
The contract period is 380 calendar days following the signing of the contract and the meetings continue for the project, which is expected to be completed in April 2024. In this context, Kocaeli Intelligent Transportation Systems Measurement and Evaluation meeting was held by Ondokuz Mayıs University Civil Engineering Department faculty member Assoc. Dr. It was held with the participation of Metin Mutlu Aydın and metropolitan experts.
FIELD TRIP
The Measurement and Evaluation meeting was held in the form of an interactive session where information was given about Kocaeli Intelligent Transportation Systems applications and the operation and management of traffic control and management systems. At the end of the meeting, a field trip was made to Investigate Intelligent Transportation Infrastructures and to see and examine the application examples on site.
