Renovation work has been completed at Nassau Cruise Port in the Bahamas, which is part of the portfolio of Global Ports Holding (GPH), a subsidiary of Global Investment Holdings and the world's largest cruise port operator.

Nassau Cruise Port, the world's largest transit port and renovated with an investment of 300 million dollars, will be able to host 6 cruise ships at the same time.

While 350 Turkish workers were working at the Nassau Cruise Port, the world's largest transit port, where Enka İnşaat is renovating, the materials needed for the renovation works were also brought from Turkey.

Mehmet Kutman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global Investment Holdings and Global Ports Holding, said, “After the renovation works, the daily passenger capacity of the port increased to 30 thousand people. This will enable us to host approximately 2023 million passengers only at Nassau Cruise Port for 4.5. The Government of the Bahamas and its citizens will also benefit from this growth.”

World giants came together at the opening

World giants accompanied the opening ceremony of the completed renovation works of the Nassau Cruise Port. Bahamas Prime Minister Hon. Philip Davis, Bahamas Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Investment and Aviation I. Chester Cooper and Minister of Transport and Housing JoBeth Coleby-Davis made speeches at the ceremony. After the opening speeches, drone shows added color to the night when Bahamian artists took the stage.

A whole harbor with the city

The port, whose renovation works have been completed, will also be an entertainment center while reflecting the vibrant cultural heritage of Nassau with its 300-year history. Standing out with the city as a whole, the harbor boasts areas such as a Junkanoo museum, authentic Bahamian food and beverage outlets, an organized ground transportation area, a world-class amphitheater, an art gallery and new green spaces, a blend of Bahamian culture and unique, locally produced It also draws attention with its market place that focuses on the promotion of products. There will also be a 1.5 MW solar power plant to support the energy needs of the Nassau Cruise Port.

The target is to host approximately 2023 million passengers in 4.5.
