The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Motorway Project, which attracted great attention with its contributions to the circular economy as well as its environmental and social studies, was deemed worthy of the first prize within the scope of the Public-Private Sector Cooperation and Infrastructure Awards organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Highway, which was tendered by the TR Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Highways, with the build-operate-transfer model, the construction works and operation of which are carried out by the joint venture established by Limak and Yapı Merkezi from Turkey, DL E&C and SK ecoplant from South Korea. Its project was awarded the first prize at the UNECE Public-Private Sector Cooperation and Infrastructure Awards ceremony held in Athens on 5 November 2023 by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

UNECE, which was established in 1947 to contribute to economic integration and cooperation among member countries in Europe, held the 7th PPP Forum in Athens between 3-5 May 2023. Within the scope of the Forum, UNECE Public-Private Sector Cooperation and Infrastructure Awards also found their owners.

While 70 of the 48 international projects that applied to the competition were evaluated, 1915Çanakkale Bridge and Highway became one of the 5 finalists. In the competition where the winner was determined by the votes of the Forum delegates, the 1915Çanakkale Bridge award was presented to the 1915Çanakkale Bridge and Motorway Deputy General Manager for Finance, Murat Sarıkaya, by Tony Bonnici, Head of UNECE Public-Private Partnerships Department, and George Katapodis, Head of UNECE PPPs Working Group. was done.

Stating that the project has won more than 20 awards so far, but this award carries a special importance, Murat Sarıkaya said, “Our support project to the Gallipoli Women's Cooperative, which we conveyed for the competition held with the theme of circular economy this year, is only one of the 1915 environmental and social projects realized by the 321Çanakkale Bridge and Motorway. someone. While supporting a significant part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with these projects, we continue to create value for our stakeholders, the region and our country.”

1915Çanakkale Bridge and Highway was deemed worthy of the Green World Awards gold level award by The Green Organization in 2020, which aims to promote and encourage the best environmental practices worldwide, for its environmental work. 1915Çanakkale has won 12 finance awards, 2 environmental and social awards, 4 employment awards and 3 engineering awards so far.
