A protocol was signed between Eskişehir OSB Directorate and TCDD 2nd Regional Directorate regarding the construction of a railway line from Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (EOSB) to Eskişehir Hasanbey Logistics Center.
Regarding the construction of a railway line from Eskişehir OIZ to Hasanbey Logistics Center in order to reduce losses in the shipment and handling of companies producing and exporting in Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone, reduce export costs, improve exports within the scope of the "European Green Road Project", and increase efficiency and productivity in transportation. A protocol was signed between Eskişehir OIZ Directorate and TCDD 2nd Regional Directorate. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, TCDD 2nd Regional Manager Mahmut Civan, Eskişehir OSB Board Chairman Nadir Küpeli took part in the ceremony held at TÜRASAŞ Eskişehir Regional Directorate.
Railway connection problem will be eliminated
Speaking at the protocol signing ceremony, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez stated that the railway connection problem between Eskişehir OIZ and Hasanbey Logistics Center will be eliminated with the cooperation, and said, “There is a lack of railway connection lines between Hasanbey Logistics Center and Eskişehir OIZ. With the protocol signed today, mutual cooperation will be made. Our Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone Directorate will contribute to the construction of this line. Our TCDD Regional Directorate will have completed the deficiencies. In a very short time, our industrialists will have delivered their finished products or raw materials to our ports by loading or unloading them from their factory. In this way, products will be delivered to export markets much faster. I hope this agreement will be beneficial for our industrialists, our city and our country.”
After the speech of Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, the protocol was signed by TCDD 2nd Regional Director Mahmut Civan and Eskişehir OSB Board of Directors Nadir Küpeli.
Our exports will increase much faster
Making a statement after the signing, EOSB President Nadir Küpeli said, “With this protocol, we will have realized the railway line, which our industrialists have been waiting for years with great longing, in the coming months. I would like to thank our Minister, Governor and TCDD Officials for their great support in this matter. With the opening of this line, Eskişehir industry will gain a great advantage in terms of exports, and our exports will increase much faster.”
