Firefighters, who have just started working within the body of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, are getting ready for duty with drills, each of which is like a real event, within the scope of on-the-job training lasting 240 hours.

The fire brigade, which constitutes the most vital service area of ​​the municipalities in terms of protecting the life and property safety of the citizens, continues to give confidence to the people of Bursa with its services. The Fire Brigade Department, which has been continuously strengthened in line with the needs of the Metropolitan Municipality in terms of team and equipment, has added 85 new firefighters to its structure. Responding to an average of 9 fires and 19 incidents per year, the Fire Brigade Department provides 240 hours of on-the-job training to new personnel. In the theoretical and practical training, the new firefighters, who are subjected to physical endurance tests and demonstrate their skills, also see the incidents they may encounter in the field as one-on-one.

While practices were carried out on various subjects such as firefighting and search and rescue at the Fire Brigade Training Center in Küçükbalıklı, the evacuation of the injured stuck on the roof of the building, the rescue of the casualty trapped in the vehicle as a result of the traffic accident, from the vehicle without any problems, the fire response and the rescue drills from the well did not look like the truth.

After the training exercises, which were completed without any problems, fire extinguishing and evacuation of a casualty who was exposed to smoke after the fire were conducted under the control of firefighters.
