The seminar on "Agricultural Irrigation" organized in cooperation with Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and TMMOB Chamber of Agricultural Engineers Eskişehir Branch was held with the intense participation of citizens. Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Demet Uygan drew attention to global climate change and stated that the principles of irrigation science should be followed in agriculture.

Agricultural trainings continue to be given by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Services Department within the scope of the “Training for Farmers and Urban Producers” protocol for farmers operating in Eskişehir and citizens interested in agricultural production.

While the trainings organized in cooperation with the Eskişehir Branch of the Chamber of Agricultural Engineers of TMMOB attracted great attention, the seminar on "Agricultural Irrigation" organized within the scope of the trainings, Agricultural Engineer Dr. It was held with the presentation of Demet Uygan.

Sibel Benek, Head of Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Services Department, Head of TMMOB Chamber of Agricultural Engineers Eskişehir Branch, Levent Özbunar, farmers and citizens from the city center and rural districts attended the seminar held at Taşbaşı Cultural Center Red Hall.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Demet Uygan emphasized the importance of using the right methods in agricultural irrigation both in Eskişehir, in our country and in the world in this period when we feel the global climate crisis heavily.

Stating that irrigation water is a very important issue, Uygan said, “The importance of water, the status of groundwater, water quality and water pollution, areas opened to irrigation, modern irrigation systems, the importance of agricultural irrigation and land consolidation, efficient use of water used in agriculture, global climate change. and its effects on our country and our city, misconceptions in agricultural irrigation and what science tells us, and compliance with the principles of irrigation science in agriculture".

The seminar was completed with a mutual question and answer session, where citizens found answers to their questions.
