Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, made statements regarding the Istanbul Finance Center Project.
Some of the headlines from the Minister Institution's speech are as follows: “In our Istanbul Finance Center, which will increase the competitiveness of our financial markets and carry it even higher, 50 thousand of our brothers will work and be employed here. It will be a project that will contribute to the employment of our Istanbul and our region. It will also offer the most comprehensive and effective services that will guide the Islamic financial markets. With the project, domestic and foreign financial companies will serve in these offices. When it will be offered to the public, meetings will be held with both national and international banks and financial institutions. The heart of finance will be beating in the financial center.
We carried out a joint study with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance at the Istanbul Finance Center and signed a protocol. Within the framework of the protocol, we worked together with our Emlak Konut General Directorate, Iller Bank General Directorate and Turkey Wealth Fund, and we completed the process, thank goodness. Currently, the investment value of this strategic project has reached 65 billion liras in terms of current figures. It is a project in which smart building and zero waste applications fully serve within the financial center. There is 1,4 million square meters of office space in this project.”
