Stating that he felt bitter that many people could not attend the feast at home and with their loved ones due to the "disaster of the century" earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, Minister Murat Kurum stated that they stood by the citizens as a state and said, "The people of Sinop, people of Trabzon, Rize, Elazig, Malatya and Kastamonu, who are here, know us well. We were with them in every disaster. We were with them in every difficult day… We built the foundation of our 778 residences in Okmeydanı, which have not been entered for years, with our citizens; We beat it with the drum and the zurna. Why did we throw it? We threw it out so that our children there can live in safer housing, so that they can live in a peaceful future. I hope we will continue our projects in all cities and districts of Istanbul with the same understanding. We want to transform all areas quickly, just like the first phase of Okmeydanı. Making evaluations in the Okmeydanı Urban Transformation Office Opening program, the Minister Kurum stated that they made a promise as Turkey and said, “We said that we will finish our 319 thousand houses in one year and then 650 thousand in total. We made a promise to our citizens. This is the word of the great Turkey. This is the word of strong Turkey. This promise is the promise of Turkey, which has signed the contract for 78 thousand houses in 106 days and laid the foundations simultaneously in 11 provinces. Hopefully, we will continue to grow and develop our country in every field, as it has been for 21 years, and to offer these services to our children.
