“The target of transporting 2035 million tons of freight in the railway sector in 220 has been set”

Yalçın said that in a meeting on Intermodal Transportation organized by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the target of 2035 million tons of freight transport in the railway sector was set in 220 and that resource planning should be done to reach this target.

“It is aimed to transport 2035 million tons of cargo in 220 and 2053 million tons in 448. These goals are big targets and we need resources to reach them. We need to increase our towing and towed vehicles and modernize the existing ones. In addition, we must prepare and work to use our resources efficiently with a good planning.”

Stating that they are working to open a separate parenthesis to customer satisfaction, General Manager Yalçın emphasized that the Customer Services Department was established recently and that this unit will be a unit that only deals with the customer and carries out the relations of the customer with the institution. Stating that they will cooperate more with international associations, General Manager Yalçın said:

“We have to carry out our public transportation activities in line with the criteria of the International Union of Public Transporters (UITP). Here, important duties fall not only on us, but also on TCDD. We can compare all our activities that we will do in line with UITP rules with all the institutions in the world that do the same job as us. We can see and make up for our shortcomings. Thus, we can provide better quality, more beautiful and world-class service to our citizens.”
