The Law to Protect the Environment of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was approved today, and the law is expected to go into effect on September 1.
At the 14nd Meeting of the 2th Standing Committee of the National People's Assembly of China, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Environment Protection Law was approved today.
The law, which aims to provide legal guarantee for the protection of the ecological environment and the realization of sustainable development in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, is expected to be implemented as of September 1.
The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which has rich ecological resources, has the distinction of being China's largest and the world's highest plateau.
