Heilongjiang province in northeastern China put into service the first Sino-European freight train carrying domestic brand vehicles on Sunday.

China Railways Harbin Bureau Group Ltd. According to the statement made by the company, the freight train left the train station of the Harbin international container center in the state capital Harbin on Sunday morning, with 33 containers of 4,81 commercial vehicles worth more than 165 million yuan (approximately US$ 55 million).

Noting that the freight train passing through Manzhouli Port in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is expected to reach its destination in Europe within 15 days, the railway administration noted that the newly launched service will open new overseas markets for vehicles manufactured in China.

According to the statement, the second freight train within the scope of this service is planned to depart next week, and the frequency of shipments is expected to increase thereafter.
