AKM-Gar-Kızılay Metro Line, which is the key point in the Ankara metro line, opens today. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also attend the opening. Within the scope of the project, thanks to the line consisting of 3 stations, namely the Station, Courthouse and Kızılay, the citizens of the capital will be able to transfer to Ankara High Speed ​​​​Train (YHT) Station, Başkentray and Ankaray. From Keçiören to Kızılay, it will be able to go directly.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, which started to work to expand the rail system network and increase the connection points in Ankara, is putting the AKM-Gar-Kızılay Metro Line into operation today.

Final preparations are being made at the newly built station for the opening ceremony of the line, where tests have been carried out for a while.

Direct transportation from Keçiören to Kızılay

Within the scope of the project, thanks to the line consisting of 3 stations, namely the Gar, Courthouse and Kızılay, citizens of the capital will be able to go to Kızılay directly from Keçiören.

Passengers will be able to transfer to Ankara YHT Station, Başkentray and Ankaray via the newly built Station with a capacity of 600 thousand passengers on the metro line.

Transfer to Başkentray will be possible via the second station, the Adliye Station. Transition from the last station Kızılay to Batıkent, Çayyolu and Ankaray metro lines will be possible.

Ankara rail system length will increase to 44,5 kilometers

In addition to Ankara's 23-kilometer rail system line, 41,2 kilometers long, 16,6 kilometers Kızılay-Çayyolu Metro (M2), 15,4 kilometers Batıkent-Sincan Metro (M3), 9,2 kilometers Ankara Keçiören-AKM Metro (M4). ) It was built by the Ministry and the total line length was increased to 64,2 kilometers.

With the AKM-Gar-Kızılay Metro Line to be opened, a total of 44,5 kilometers of metro lines will be brought to Ankara by the Ministry.
