Konya Metropolitan Municipality has reached the final stage of the arrangement work it started to extend the Adana Ring Road connection of the Railway Street to the industrial zone in order to relieve the urban traffic. The Metropolitan also completed the lane widening works in the area of the Railway Street where the State Supply Office warehouses are located and opened the street to traffic.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues to make important arrangements in the streets with heavy traffic in the city center.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said that while opening alternative routes to ease the city traffic, they also expanded the existing roads and made them more comfortable.
Noting that they are carrying out important works to increase the flow and safety of traffic on Railway Street, Mayor Altay said, “We have completed our lane widening work in the area where the State Supply Office (DMO) warehouses are located on Railway Street. While we open the road to traffic, we continue to work on arranging the parquet," he said.
Noting that the reorganization works, which they started by demolishing the old flour factory on the Adana Ring Road connection of Demiryolu Caddesi, have reached the final stage, Mayor Altay said, “We are extending the street to Hüdai Junction by making a new road arrangement 800 meters from the Adana Ring Road connection of the Demiryolu Caddesi. . We are working to connect Railway Street to our industrial zone. I hope that we will complete our work as soon as possible, and we will significantly relieve the traffic of the region," he said.
