Sıla was on stage at the Ankara Congresium last weekend to support the elimination of grievances in the earthquake area. All proceeds will be donated to the 'One Rent One Home' campaign run by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Needs Map, and 2 people watched the solidarity concert, whose tickets were sold out days ago. Sıla touched the audience with her speech at the beginning of the special concert, where she prepared a special repertoire and wore a black costume.

Here is Sıla's emotional speech listened to with applause and tears at the beginning of the earthquake solidarity concert:

'We run from emotion to emotion'

“This evening is very different from our other concerts. For once, we are sharing a very meaningful evening. Good luck to all of you one by one. We are trying to normalize, but normalization will not be easy. Like you, we are here not knowing what to do. For fifteen days we thought so much about the repertoire; what do we do, what do we play Our shame is so great. I don't know how to turn it off. We woke up with a deep sadness on February 6th. We will not forget and we will not forget. We were very upset, we went back and forth between emotions, we are running from emotion to emotion, sadness and anger. So once again, thank you for being here and supporting. And of course, our Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, for the occasion. Tunç Soyer.

'We are together for the burden of life'

Don't worry, all your help will reach us through us. This support is invaluable. When the grief is so great, one finds it difficult to speak. As I say at every concert, we are not here just for fun. We are together to share the feelings, to be side by side, to be friendly, to lift the burden of life together, to share in the joy of life.

'Hope is what we need most'

There will be another evening like this. Of course, it will touch us all a little differently. But ultimately, I think what we need most is hope. We prepared a different repertoire. Be comfortable while listening. Because one feels another sense of responsibility, another sense of guilt, both while sitting there and here. Let's disperse this guilt feeling together."
