Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, said, “The foundations of a new Silk Road are being laid under the leadership of our President at the level of governments.” said.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made statements in Diyarbakır.

Some of the headlines from Minister Karaismailoğlu's speech are as follows: “On the one hand, we say struggle against earthquakes, on the other hand, investments continue in our 81 provinces. As a country that has managed to fit the work to be done in 100 years in 20 years, we continue to do much more than our part rapidly. We have 5 thousand construction sites spread across Turkey, none of them have stopped. There, too, our work continues intensively.

We have big goals. Our investments will continue to increase within the framework of the 2053 Transport and Logistics Master Plan. Yesterday the Iraqi Prime Minister was in Turkey. Indeed, we have continued to negotiate with them on a logistics corridor that will change the balance in the world. Under the leadership of our President at the level of governments, the foundations of a new Silk Road are being laid.

It is a breakthrough that will change the balance in this world. When this road, railway, highway and port meet with the Persian Gulf thanks to the sea, of course, an important transportation corridor opens up to the Mediterranean, Europe, the Black Sea, and even the Caucasus of this logistics corridor through Turkey.

When both the connection of these logistics corridors and our investments in these regions and 81 provinces in Turkey meet with each other and add additional international corridors to this, I hope our country continues its goal of becoming a logistics superpower in the world.

The earthquake disaster has been on our agenda for the last 45 days, and it continues to do so. We will never withdraw our hands from this region. While reviving these places, our investments and economic growth will continue.”
