China Discovers Huge $3 Trillion Gold Reserve

China has recently discovered a huge gold deposit with reserves of about 3 tons, which can be sold for around $50 trillion at the current market price. According to the provincial mineral resources official, the deposit is located in the rural city of Rushan, in eastern China's Shandong Province.

The Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources said the deposit covers a large area and the ores will be easy to extract and process. Compared to other provinces of China, Shandong has rich deposits, especially in gold mines. Zhou Mingling, Deputy Head of the 6th Geology Brigade at the bureau, told Dazhong Daily that researchers dug more than 400 holes at a depth of 250 meters to find the deposit. The government assessment showed that the deposit could produce 20 tons of gold ore for at least 2 years.
