MAST-Marine Saloon Trade, Boat, Boat Equipment and Marine Accessories Fair, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized in cooperation with İZFAŞ and ED Fair Organization, started in Fair İzmir. The fair, which will last until April 2, 2023, brought together the world-famous boat brands, the leading domestic boat manufacturers of the sector, and equipment and accessory companies in İzmir.
We will increase our competitive power in the world
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the fair, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyeremphasized the importance of the fair they organized for the first time this year for the sea city of Izmir. President Soyer said, “İzmir has been one of the most important port cities of the Mediterranean basin for hundreds of years. However, we are far behind in terms of maritime and we are at a point that we do not deserve. It is possible to overcome this. We call İzmir a 'sea city' or a 'Mediterranean city'. We want to expand our claim in the Mediterranean. This fair was one of the most important fairs we dreamed of. That's why we are so excited and happy. I wish that we will increase our competitive power in the world by growing and developing this fair every year. Rest assured, we will do much more.”

Stating that Izmir and Turkey deserve more in maritime trade, Soyer concluded his speech as follows:
“We should be competing more on maritime trade with Croatia, Spain and Greece. But we are not at that point. I think there is a lack of public choice. I think there is a lack of choice in his expenditure. That's why I invite the central authority to be as sensitive to the sea as we are to the local public administration. we exist. I am calling out to the central authority: Let's join hands and grow this business together. This is not just our business or your business. This is our job. Everyone living in this land needs to understand the importance of this story and do their part.”

Izmir Chamber of Commerce Assembly President Selami Özpoyraz said, “Izmir has been winning new fairs in the last period thanks to the synergy and vision created by all institutions and organizations in our city. The scenery we see here shows that this fair will develop in a short time and become one of the promising and sustainable events of our city.”

Fatih Yağınlı, Vice Chairman of İzmir Boat and Yacht Manufacturers' Solidarity Association (TEKİMDER), emphasized the importance of the fair for the sector. Yacht and Boat Industry Association (YATED) Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Cem Hüroğlu said that they are happy to support the fair.
Emel Yılmaz, one of the founding partners of ED Fair, said that they will continue to expand the fair. MAST İzmir turned the route of the sector to İzmir
Yacht and Boat Industry Association (YATED) and İzmir Boat and Yacht Manufacturers' Solidarity Association (TEKİMDER) were among the supporters of the fair; Boat equipment and accessories such as motor yachts, sailboats, inflatable boats and boats, speedboats, outboard motors, main engines, boat electronics, water sports equipment, diving equipment, fishing gear are on display. Motor yachts, sailboats, trawlers, speedboats and state-of-the-art boats, equipment and accessories ranging in length from 3 meters to 17 meters took their places at MAST Fair. At the fair, where visitors can find the world's largest boat brands, the latest design boats of the local manufacturer and every product for pre-season boats, nearly 250 boat models come ashore and meet the visitors. MAST, the only fair held on land in 2023, turns the route of the exhibitor and the visitor to İzmir.
