Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which provides health services to nearly 10 thousand citizens registered in the system every year in Bursa, through the Home Patient Care Center, is also working hard for the health of earthquake victims in Hatay. The teams of the Metropolitan Municipality Home Patient Care Center in Antakya treated a citizen who was injured in the earthquake.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which has undertaken the tasks of distributing aid from all over Turkey, creating temporary living spaces and installing mobile toilets in Hatay, continues to meet the needs of disaster victims. Relatives of 59-year-old heart patient Vahide Tekin, whose house was severely damaged in the earthquakes and injured in her foot while leaving the house, 'reached Bursa Metropolitan Municipality teams' and asked for support for health services. Thereupon, the teams of the Metropolitan Home Patient Care Center in Antakya took action towards the Avsuyu District, which is 30 kilometers from the district center. Reaching Vahide Tekin, who lives in the tent they set up in the garden of her sister's house, the teams made the necessary intervention.

Saying that she could not receive her treatment because they were far from the center, Vahide Tekin said, “When I was leaving the house at the time of the earthquake, I stepped on broken glass. I had big cuts on my foot. Since our house was badly damaged, I came to Avsuyu to live with my sister. Here, too, I could only get my feet dressed once, and that was the first day. Then Bursa Metropolitan Municipality teams came. Thank you very much,” she said.

After the treatment, the teams returned to the center by delivering the medicines Vahide Tekin needed.
