The Turkish natural stone industry, which offers 150 different types, 650 color and pattern options, is having a busy week with the Natural Stone Sectoral Trade Committees organized by the Aegean Mineral Exporters' Association, Turkey's natural export leader, on 12-19 March 2023 in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. .
Reminding that Turkey realized 2022 billion 2 million dollars worth of natural stone exports in 96, Aegean Mineral Exporters' Association President İbrahim Alimoğlu said, “In 2022, we exported 30 million dollars to Kazakhstan with a decrease of 8 percent, and 18 million dollars to Uzbekistan with an increase of 10 percent. Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are two countries where we come from the same roots, share the same history, and have very strong common values. At the same time, they are the countries that play a central role in the Central Asian strategies of Russia, China, South Korea, Japan and European Union countries. The strategic position of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in China's Belt and Road project indicates that infrastructure investments will grow and that it can become a regional production center in other industries.” said.
Chairman Alimoğlu said, “Our 17 natural stone exporting companies visited Royal Stone, N Stone Group, Agregator companies, one of the largest natural stone companies in Almaty, on 13 March. On March 14, they held bilateral business meetings with over 30 Kazakh companies. On March 15, they will pay a factory visit to Ceramo Stone Group, Chest, Kerama Group, Stone World, Anar, Sam Stone, Alatau, Kerama World companies and go to Uzbekistan, the other leg of the delegation. On March 16, our natural stone exporters will hold bilateral business meetings with 25 purchasing companies in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which our Ministry of Commerce shows as one of the target countries. On 17 and 18 March 2023, Imperador, Artprofgroup, Natural Stone City, Gazgan Stone, Laminam Surfaces will conclude our Trade Committee after visiting the factory. In 2022, we exported 30 million dollars of natural stone to the Turkic Republics. We foresee that we will reach 150 million dollars in the medium term.” said.
