According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revenues and profits of the Chinese software and information technology services sector recorded steady growth during the first two months of 2023.
From January to February, the industry's profit increased by 12,2 percent year on year, reaching 176,9 billion yuan (approximately $25,74 billion). On the other hand, revenues rose 11 percent compared to the same period a year ago to 1 trillion 450 billion yuan.
The ministry's data show that revenues of software products increased by 9,5 percent to 337,9 billion yuan in the first two months of the year compared to a year ago, while revenues of information technology services increased by 11,6 percent to 943,4 billion yuan. According to startup information providers, there are currently more than 2 million companies operating megadata in China. About 393 thousand of them are interested in cloud computing.
