The month of Ramadan in Istanbul will pass with the attention and beauty it deserves. Iftar meal will be distributed at 60 points. Food distribution will be made at 15 points with mobile kiosks. In the emergency services of the hospital, sahurluk will be served for 7 thousand 500 people. People's Bread's 300 grams of Ramadan pita will be sold for 5 liras. Special cultural and artistic events will be held in the squares for the month of Ramadan. Cleaning, security, maintenance-repair and landscaping services, which continue throughout the year in historical mosques, will be continued meticulously during Ramadan.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) is ready for the month of Ramadan. Tables will be shared in Istanbul, good deeds will be competed, and the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan, the sultan of 11 months, will be kept alive throughout Istanbul.
IFTAR EVERY DAY FOR 17 THOUSAND PEOPLE
IMM will distribute iftar meals for 60 thousand people at 16 different points every day during the month of Ramadan. Iftar menu will consist of various soups, main course with meat, side dish, water, ayran and dessert.
Every day, rations will be distributed for a thousand people from mobile kiosks and tents at 15 different points. In the stores; soup, sandwiches, dessert, water and juice will be available. Distributions Mecidiyeköy, Avcılar, Beylikdüzü, Esenyurt and Cevizliat the vineyard metrobus stops; At Yenikapı Marmaray Station; Besiktas and Kadıköy At its pier; It will be held at Ümraniye, Çekmeköy, Kozyatağı, Kartal metro stations and at Eminönü, Şirinevler and Üsküdar squares.
On the other hand, during the month of Ramadan, sahur, which consists of breakfast foods and beverages, will be distributed in 150 thousand units in the emergency services of hospitals in Istanbul, and 72 thousand units in the IMM and security units.
IFTAR WILL ALSO BE GIVEN IN HATAY
IMM will continue its services for earthquake victims in Hatay, which AFAD is responsible for, during the month of Ramadan. In the districts of Antakya, İskenderun and Samandağ, a total of 8 thousand people will be served iftar meals every day.
ISTANBUL PUBLIC BREAD PITA WILL BE SOLD FOR 5 TL
İBB will bring together the indispensable pita of Ramadan tables with Istanbulites at an affordable price this year. 300 grams of Istanbul Pita, produced untouched by IMM Subsidiary Halk Ekmek, will be sold at all dealers for 5 TL.
KENT RESTAURANTS WILL SERVE
İBB City Restaurants will continue to serve between 13.00 and 18.00 during the month of Ramadan. In Kent Restaurants, the number of which will be increased to 8.
HISTORICAL MOSQUES ARE ENCOUNTERED TO IMM IN RAMADAN
İBB also continues its services such as cleaning, lighting, security, maintenance-repair and landscaping of historical and sultan mosques in Istanbul throughout the year. Before the month of Ramadan, places of worship were prepared for Ramadan by performing a comprehensive and detailed cleaning. These services, which are provided in 40 mosques, including Fatih Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque, Nusretiye Mosque, Nuruosmaniye Mosque and Eyüpsultan Mosque, Büyük Çamlıca Mosque, Ataşehir Mimar Sinan Mosque and Marmara Theology Mosque, will continue meticulously during the month of Ramadan, when prayers and visits will increase.
A MONTH FULL OF CULTURE AND ART
İBB will welcome the sultan of 11 months with cultural events suitable for this month. A month of Ramadan, full of culture, art and sightseeing, will be experienced in many districts, especially in Üsküdar, Beyazıt, Eyüpsultan, Ümraniye and Küçükçekmece squares. Within the scope of Ramadan activities; concerts, talks, theater and workshops will be held. Dining and handicraft stands and resting areas will be created.
Ramadan events; Every day between March 23-April 21 and between 10.00-02.00, at Üsküdar Mimar Sinan Square; It will be at Harbiye Cemil Topuz'lu Open Air Stage between 10.00-02.00. Events will also be held in all districts of Istanbul, especially Eyüpsultan Square, Ümraniye 15 July Martyrs Square, Beyazıt Square and Küçükçekmece Cennet Square.
An event program called "Ramadan Harbiyesi" will be held at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater with the support of the Istanbul Foundation, with the organization of İBB Kültür AŞ, between 8-19 April.
İBB Subsidiary Kültür AŞ, Istanbul Bookstore will meet book lovers in 14 different squares as part of Ramadan events, in addition to its 6 branches spread throughout the city.
YOUTH AND CHILDREN ARE NOT FORGOTTEN
Special show programs will be organized for Ramadan with the İBB Sahnebüs bus. There will be Hacivat-Karagöz, meddah, puppet, mascot, juggler, balloon, illusion and zumba kids shows.
Ramadan-themed films for children will be presented with the İBB Sinebüs bus. In Sinebus with a capacity of 40 people, there will be educational, instructive and entertaining films as well as refreshments.
IMM Science bus, on the other hand, will share educational information on science, technology and geography for children aged 5-12. Educational experiences on the electrical grid system, energy types, sandbox, plasma spheres, augmented reality and space adventure, recycling, energy testing, wind and solar energy applications will be presented.
Ramadan-themed talks, calligraphy and marbling art and ney taksim events will be held at IMM Youth Offices.
Within the scope of the Gezi Istanbul program; Historical excursions will be organized for young people. In the company of expert guides, you will visit the sultan's complexes, selatin mosques, historical squares and gates in Istanbul.
IMM MUSEUMS FREE
Museums affiliated to İBB Kültür AŞ will be free for local visitors after iftar during the month of Ramadan. Yerebatan Cistern, Şerefiye Cistern, Miniatürk and Panorama 1453 History Museum will continue to host their visitors after iftar between 23 March-20 April. Entries will be made by scanning the QR code in Radar Istanbul.
