MEB Established a Tracking and Monitoring Group for Students Affected by the Earthquake

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that they formed the "Earthquake Affected Students Tracking and Monitoring Group" to ensure the continuity of education and training processes for students who were transferred from the earthquake-affected provinces to other provinces.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer reminded that after the earthquake disaster in the surrounding provinces, especially the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, the transfer of students from the disaster area to other provinces outside the region was carried out, and noted that they took a new measure for these students.

Özer said: “In order to ensure the continuity of the education and training processes of the transferred students without any disruption, the need to meet the necessary needs and to establish a follow-up and monitoring system for the students affected by the earthquake in the education environment and processes. In this context, the 'Earthquake-Affected Students Tracking and Monitoring Group' was formed with the participation of a sufficient number of volunteer teachers assigned by our Ministry. In this context, with the monitoring group we have formed, it will be ensured that at least once a month, at certain periods, the schools with students transferred from the earthquake zone will be visited, and solutions will be produced in cooperation with the relevant units for the determination and supply of needs.

Minister Özer noted that they will continue to make every effort to ensure that students have access to education by meeting with the school.
