Works have started at Kemer Municipality Ethnography Culture House, which will be the first ethnography culture house in Kemer, which is among the most important tourism destinations in Turkey.

After the steps taken to transform Kemer's former gendarmerie station building on Liman Street into the Ethnography Culture House, work began on the aforementioned project.

In Kemer Municipality Ethnography Culture House, which was started to be built in order to protect and revitalize the common heritage of Kemer, artifacts such as household items, agricultural tools, objects belonging to old lives and old photographs used by the people in the Kemer region will be exhibited.

Kemer Mayor Necati Topaloğlu said that Kemer Ethnography Culture House will be built in accordance with the architecture of old Antalya houses.

Mayor Topaloğlu, who pointed out that the works started after the tender for the Ethnography Culture House, said, “We want to preserve and keep the common heritage of Kemer alive. For years, a museum was thought to be built in Kemer, but it was never built. It is our privilege to build an ethnography culture house for the first time in Kemer.” said.

Mayor Topaloğlu mentioned that Kemer Ethnography Culture House will make a great contribution to Kemer tourism and said, “We believe that Ethnography Culture House will be among the frequent destinations of many local and foreign guests coming to our district. There will be objects and items describing Kemer's old occupations. There will also be priceless artifacts. Our local historian, Mr. Ramazan Kar, has many heritage artifacts from Kemer. We will exhibit these works in our culture house with the support of Ramazan Kar. I would like to thank Ramazan Kar for his support once again. I hope this place will add great value to Kemer.” he said.

It was learned that the old census samples from the Ottoman period and the decree issued by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1932-1933 regarding the Kemer region will also be exhibited in the Ethnography Culture House.
