Veterinarians appointed by Keçiören Municipality to heal the wounds of the victims of the earthquake in the earthquake area treated thousands of creatures from storks to dogs, from lambs to cats. Veterinarians and auxiliary personnel assigned for the care and treatment of dear friends showed great effort for the creatures that were both removed from the rubble and affected by the adverse conditions in the region. The teams, who passed the animals through health checks, also performed surgical intervention when they deem necessary. On the other hand, the teams also distributed food in the provinces, districts and villages in the earthquake zone under the coordination of AFAD.
Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok, who stated that veterinarians work diligently in the disaster area for the treatment of animals that were adversely affected by the disaster of the century, said, “While we were covering the wounds of our earthquake victims, we also treated our dear friends. Our veterinarians worked uninterruptedly to care and treat our animals, which were both under the rubble and affected by the adverse conditions in the disaster area.
