'GREEN AND CARBON NEUTRAL BUILDING TRANSFORMATION'

The “Green and Carbon Neutral Building Transformation Guide” project was designed for Istanbul with the aim of making the fixed energy use of buildings in the city more efficient. With the project, the old and earthquake-risk building stock in the city will be renewed within the scope of urban transformation, while at the same time a guide will be prepared for these buildings to be green and carbon neutral. Energy consumption will be monitored in the residences in the pilot region to be selected through sensors. In the light of the determined roadmap and data, studies will be carried out to change behavior in order to use energy efficiently.

A total of 53 million Euros of funding will be provided for their projects to 32 pilot cities selected under the EU Pilot Cities programme.
