The snow season has started in Akdağ Winter Sports and Ski Center, modernized by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of tourism investments. The center, located at an altitude of 788, turned white with snowfall. Many citizens, young and old, who took advantage of the fact that the schools were on holiday, went to Akdağ Winter Sports and Ski Center and enjoyed the snow. President Mustafa Demir stated that Ladik district has a special importance for Samsun, which is a beautiful city in all seasons, and emphasized that investments in tourism will continue.

In Samsun, one of the few cities with a four-season tourism potential, the winter season became active as the air temperature returned to seasonal normals. Akdağ Winter Sports and Ski Center, which was raised for the season after the ski slope and facilities were overhauled with the work of the Machinery Supply, Maintenance and Repair Department, together with the 900-meter-long chairlift, started to host ski lovers.

“STUDENTS VISITED WITHIN THE YOUTH MOVEMENT”

The ski resort in Ladik district, one of the important addresses of the Black Sea Region in winter tourism, is once again flooded by adrenaline enthusiasts. While the dense fog, which has been effective since the weekend, reduces the visibility, ski lovers enjoy the white cover. Members of the Metropolitan Municipality Youth Movement, who come to Akdağ by bus, perform dances and dance under the snow, accompanied by music.

Students, who turn their school holidays into an opportunity, enjoy skating with their parents on sledges and snowboards in Akdağ, which they prefer for entertainment. Colorful scenes are also experienced in Akdağ Winter Sports and Ski Center, where young people sing and dance. The tiredness of the day is relieved with sausage, bread and tea in the cafeteria of the facility.

Hüseyin Sancı, who came to Akdağ Winter Sports and Ski Center to enjoy the snow, said, “When we heard that it was snowing, we wanted to come to Akdağ with my children immediately. I didn't expect it to be this crowded, but it was pretty crowded. The weather is a bit foggy but still beautiful. We are having fun. The white cover makes you forget the cold and gives you peace of mind. I invite those who want to ski to Akdağ.”

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, on the other hand, stated that Ladik district has a special importance for Samsun, a beautiful city in all seasons, and emphasized that investments in tourism will continue.
