In the 10-magnitude earthquake, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş and caused destruction in 7.7 cities, collapses occurred on many roads, some bridges were destroyed. Some roads were closed to traffic due to the collapse and the destruction of bridges.

After the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and also affected the surrounding cities, the Osmaniye-Gaziantep West Junction of the TAG Highway was closed to transportation. Due to the collapse of the retaining wall on the 3rd kilometer of the Şanlıurfa-Adıyaman road, one lane is closed to traffic.

According to the road condition bulletin of the General Directorate of Highways and the shares made on the social media account, the road was closed to transportation due to the damage to the highway body due to the earthquake at the Osmaniye-Gaziantep West Junction of the TAG Highway. In this section, drivers are directed to the D-400 State road.

On the 3rd kilometer of the Şanlıurfa-Adıyaman road, one lane was closed due to the collapse of the retaining wall.

Roads Closed for Various Reasons

Heavy vehicle traffic is not allowed on the Pınarbaşı-Göksun road in Kayseri, due to heavy snowfall and possible traffic density.

Hakkari-Şırnak State Highway was closed to traffic due to avalanche at its 20th kilometer, and Konya-Aksaray State Highway was closed to traffic due to the intensification of snowfall in Konya exit-Eşmekaya and Konya-Kadinhanı sections.

Ankara Ring Motorway junction-Ankara-Kırıkkale road 25-27. Due to the construction works in kilometers of Ankara-Kırıkkale and Kırıkkale-Ankara, lane narrowing is being done. In this section, transportation will continue with two lanes until the end of the month.

42-50 of Gaziantep-Nizip-Birecik road. kilometers, due to the construction works at the Nizip and Birecik crossings, transportation is carried out under control.

Due to the landslide on the 2nd kilometer of the Arhavi-Hopa-Sarp road, the Arhavi-Hopa direction was closed to traffic. In this section, transportation continues in two directions from the other direction.

Due to the construction of a culvert at the 12th kilometer of the İnegöl-Domaniç-Tavşanlı road (Domaniç city crossing), transportation continues in two directions from a part of the divided road.

30-31 of the Kastamonu-Tosya road. Due to the construction works of the Keçidere Bridge, transportation is allowed from a single lane.
