Due to the earthquake disaster that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and caused damage in 10 provinces, land fishing was stopped throughout Turkey as of February 14, 2023, until a second announcement.
The 20-2022 Hunting Period, which covers the date range from August 05, 2023 to March 2022, 2023, was re-evaluated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry due to the negative impact of wildlife and habitats from the earthquake disaster.
In this context, in accordance with Articles 4915 and 5 of the Law No. 12 on Land Hunting, in order to protect game and wildlife, which are important natural resources of our country, it has been decided to stop hunting as of today.
