High Speed Train 'Fuxing' Resistant to Minus 40 Degrees Started Operations in China

China's "Fuxing" bullet trains continue to operate at the highest latitudes and lowest temperatures during the Spring Festival travel intensity.

According to China Railways Harbin Group Limited, the Fuxing CR400BF-GZ Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) is the fastest, frost-resistant and smartest high-speed train in the Fuxing series.

The train started operating in China's northernmost Heilongjiang province on January 16.

Fuxing EMU, designed and manufactured independently in China, has an operating speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

The Fuxing bullet train, which has an automatic antifreeze function and whose materials and parts are designed to withstand low temperatures, can operate normally even in an extremely cold environment of minus 40 degrees Celsius.

The Spring Festival, which is called “Chunyun” in Chinese, will continue for 7 days from January 15 to February 40 this year.

Hundreds of millions of Chinese join the travel frenzy during the country's most important traditional holiday, either to reunite with relatives in their hometown or to go on a long-awaited vacation.
