With the most recent wipe occurring last December 2022, players wonder when the next one is. Fortunately, gamers have enough time to grind until the next reset.

With no news on when Escape from Tarkov 1.0 is coming out, players are expecting several more wipes coming to the game. With the most recent one occurring at the end of 2022, the next reset will only happen for a while. However, players are still curious about the potential date, so they know until when they can keep their  Tarkov Items should note that this will not predict the exact time, as sometimes the intervals vary.

Potential Wipe Date

Wipe dates in Escape from Tarkov are usually a secret; they're only announced a few before it happens. Based on the timetable of the previous reset, there is an easy way of determining the next one. However, players with  Tarkov accounts players should note that this will not predict the exact time, as intervals sometimes change.

Since the last wipe occurred on December 28, 2022, the next one will appear roughly around June or July 2023. This timetable will give players around five to six months to grind everything they can. If there is anything that causes a delay for the wipe, the latest it will be implemented is August 2023.

Time Interval Between Tarkov Wipes

The pattern to predict the interval between wipes is based on the gap in previous resets. There is usually around 5-6 months break between them. Here are all the last Tarkov wipes since 2017:

  • December 26, 2017
  • April 19, 2018
  • July 19, 2018
  • 8 Nov 2018
  • April 9, 2019
  • October 27, 2019
  • May 28 2020
  • December 24, 2020
  • June 30, 2021
  • December 12 2021
  • June 29, 2022
  • December 28, 2022

There are several instances where the interval varies between two wipes, but most have a gap of roughly around 180 days. While the June or July estimation is highly probable, players should still expect any delays to occur.

Escape from Tarkov Wipes

The hard resets in Tarkov are a standard practice used to balance the player base and introduce additional significant features. The wipes intend to put players back to the beginning of their progression, so everyone has an equal and balanced start when new meaningful content arrives. These resets are also done to ensure that none of the pre-existing features would cause a bug or glitches to the latest ones.

The most recent wipe introduced the Streets of Tarkov, a new area players can explore during their incursions. Several new weapons have also been added to the game's arsenal, and some skills and modifications have been further adjusted. There were no significant bugs reported after the reset was done.

Wipes are not permanent in the game, as they will be phased out once the official version comes out. Devs have discussed how these resets will be obsolete and no longer needed once Tarkov 1.0 comes out. Instead, significant patches will be rolled out typically, similar to other games.

When is Escape from Tarkov 1.0 Coming Out?

Tarkov has been out since 2017, yet no concrete information is available that would indicate the game's official launch of the full version. Throughout its five years in beta access, devs have been mum about this topic, as they offer as few details as possible. This situation has caused many fans some frustration as they are still determining when they will be enjoying the complete game.

While there are no official announcements yet, there have been some clues as to when Tarkov 1.0 will drop. Devs have made vague clues regarding a release date and the game's current status. Battlestate Games have already created an official game note stating that Tarkov is nearing its complete version. However, they were cautious not to divulge any date. Many fans have assumed that this message would indicate that 1.0 will occur sometime by early or mid-2024.

While players wait for Escape from Tarkov 1.0, gamers will still be subjected to a few more wipes. Since there is a considerable interval between these resets, fans should only worry about their Tarkov Items if they only play during the end of the season. In the meantime, players should enjoy the current version and explore the Streets of Tarkov. Collect all the good weapons and armor before the next wipe!
