Search and rescue efforts continue after the earthquake, the epicenter of which is Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and affecting 10 provinces in total. While responding to the demands received by the Disaster Emergency Crisis Desk established within the Ministry of National Defense after the earthquake, an "Air Aid Corridor" was created to deliver search and rescue teams to the region.

While search and rescue teams and their equipment and aid materials were transported to the earthquake area throughout the day, the activities continued throughout the night.

In this context, more than 400 sortie support flights were made with 75 aircraft, including A350M transport aircraft. Within the scope of the works, the injured taken from the earthquake area were also transported by planes.

According to the information received, in addition to these, after the weather conditions are suitable yesterday and today, the Turkish Armed Forces is sending general purpose helicopters, including CH-47 type helicopters, which are also known as "flying fortresses", to contribute to the transport of personnel and aid materials to the region.

General purpose helicopters are constantly transporting personnel and aid materials to the earthquake-affected regions, especially in Hatay. Currently, 30 helicopters affiliated to the Land Forces Command have participated in the work, and this figure will increase with the helicopters to be dispatched from the units in the west.

On the other hand, 2 Akıncı TİHAs, which were assigned to coordinate the works in disaster areas, continue their flights.
