In a written statement from YÖK, “Due to the earthquake that took place in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023 and directly affected our 10 provinces; Considering that our students from this region and studying at our higher education institutions in other provinces will not be able to participate in education and training, the relatives of some of these students were directly affected by the disaster, and our academic and administrative staff, especially our students, participate in search, rescue and aid activities in all our higher education institutions. The opening of the education and training period has been temporarily postponed until a second announcement.
