The support activities initiated by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for the disaster area are growing. The tent city established in Hatay Antakya opened its doors to 395 earthquake victims. New humanitarian aid materials have also set off from Izmir with 3 trucks and 4 trucks. Over 487 thousand blankets were sent
To date, 487 thousand 872 blankets, 7 thousand 700 quilts, 3 thousand 700 pillows, 848 thousand pieces of clothing, 18 thousand hygiene packages, 13 thousand packages of sanitary pads, 23 thousand 500 food packages, 32 thousand 500 diapers and formula, 622 thousand liters of drinking water, 850 tents, 9 stoves and heaters, 600 tons of fuel, 172 generators, 65 kilos of apples, 2 thousand liters of milk and many aid materials were sent to the disaster area.
Health interventions made
Three meals a day are distributed in the tent city established in Hatay Antakya. A fire corridor and a warehouse area were created in the area and an infirmary was established. The installation of the outpatient tents of the Sahara Hospital has been completed. Health interventions were made for the emergency health needs of earthquake victims. Alternatives were also created for new tent areas. The field work of the logistics center tent has been completed. In addition, 14 toilets were activated in the area. Workshop for container construction continues.
Solidarity campaigns continue to support
44 million 409 thousand 174 lira aid was provided to be delivered to the region from the address “umuthareketi.izmir.bel.tr”, which enables the purchase of humanitarian aid materials needed by earthquake victims.
A contribution of 11 million 946 thousand 850 liras was provided through “birkirabiryuva.org”, which brings together citizens who lost their homes in the earthquake and people who want to give rent support or open their empty houses for use. With the campaign, 511 people declared that they would support rent and 427 people declared that they would share their houses.
Packaging and loading of humanitarian aid materials from citizens continue in Gaziemir Fair İzmir, Kültürpark Celal Atik Sports Hall and the garden of APİKAM in Çankaya.
