Search and rescue teams affiliated to the Gendarmerie General Command continue their rescue efforts from the debris in 10 provinces affected by the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes.

According to the information received, the teams affiliated to the Gendarmerie General Command commissioned 34 helicopters, 2 JİKU and 4 UAVs in the inventory since the first hours of the earthquake.

The teams dispatched 120 tents, 600 blankets, 475 search-and-rescue personnel, 11 generators, 57 thousand 500 kilograms of supplies and life supplies, 23 sets of search-and-rescue materials to the earthquake-affected areas, and ensured the evacuation of 240 injured people.

Families Rescued in Malatya and Kahramanmaraş

Commando units affiliated to Siirt Provincial Gendarmerie Command, participating in search and rescue efforts in Malatya, rescued an 11-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man, as well as three women, from the rubble on the second and third days of the earthquake.

JAK teams rescued the mother, father and their 3-year-old children from the rubble in Kahramanmaraş Hayrullah District, and the father and 3 children in Kahramanmaraş Dumlupınar District.

Good News Coming at the 78th Hour in Adıyaman

During their work in Adıyaman, the teams managed to save 69-year-old Vahdettin İşkur, who was under the rubble in the collapsed Lale Apartment in the central Sümerevler District, 78 hours after the earthquake.

"Live Detection Dogs" accompany the search and rescue efforts carried out by JAK teams with "Under Dent Imaging" devices.
