With the evacuation of citizens who want to leave the region after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, citizens who want to stay in the region will be able to benefit from the accommodation opportunities in the following ways. Earthquake victims who request evacuation and shelter through AFAD will have to go to AFAD Evacuation Assembly Areas in 10 provinces.
Evacuations and accommodation by land, sea, rail and air will be free of charge and orientation will be made according to the capacity of the provinces.
Those who will be evacuated by their own means and those who request shelter through AFAD will also have to go to the AFAD Evacuation Assembly Areas in the region and report their demands. These people will also be guided by considering the capacities of the provinces and their accommodation needs will be met free of charge.
Documentation will not be requested
During the application to the Evacuation Assembly Areas, a document “indicating the status of the victims” will not be requested, and no documents or cards will be issued by AFAD after the application.
Those who are evacuated by their own means without notifying AFAD and seeking shelter will have to apply to the governor's office in the province they go to. Here, too, no documents will be requested from the earthquake victims.
Those who are evacuated from the earthquake zones by their own means or under the coordination of AFAD will not have any loss of rights due to the earthquake.
