Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer held an online meeting with the national education directors of 71 provinces to evaluate the education process in the earthquake zone.
In the meeting held with the earthquake agenda under the chairmanship of Minister Mahmut Özer at the Tevfik Advanced Meeting Hall of the Ministry of National Education, the provinces affected by the earthquake and developments related to the education and training process were discussed. In addition to Minister Özer, unit chiefs of the Ministry of National Education and national education directors of 10 provinces excluding 71 provinces with earthquake zones attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Özer asked the provincial directors of national education if they had any shortcomings and instructed the necessary activities to be carried out quickly. Listening to the demands and suggestions of the directors of national education, Minister Özer received information about the studies carried out in the provinces.
Making statements about the work done, Minister Özer pointed out that psychosocial support, play and activity tents for children were established in all tent zones and gathering places in 10 provinces, and reminded that district and school-based transition will be made as in the pandemic process. “The sooner we normalize education, the faster we will accelerate Turkey's normalization process.” Minister Özer said, “Right now, we need to concentrate on the beginning of education. We will start education in 20 provinces on February 71.” used the phrase.
