DYO has become one of the pioneering and leading institutions of Turkey with the employment created with the vision of Selçuk Yaşar, the quality products produced, the importance given to the development of the employees, the dealership system brought to the sector, and the strong ties it has established with its business partners, and it is the first step taken on the way to the establishment of Yaşar Group. He pioneered the establishment of ESİAD (Aegean Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association) under the leadership of industrialists and business people in the Aegean Region, with the aim of growing industry and trade, increasing social welfare and a future at a global level, and served as the Chairman of the High Advisory Board.

He became one of the founders of BOSAD (Paint Manufacturers Association) by coming together with industrialists to support the development of the paint industry in Turkey.
