5 Wrestlers Lost Their Lives Under Wreck in Kahramanmaraş

Turkish Wrestling Federation announced that 5 wrestlers from Kahramanmaraş Municipality athletes who were under the rubble in the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake died.

The statement made by the Turkish Wrestling Federation is as follows:

“As the Wrestling Federation, we shared with our community the information that 10 of our children were rescued from the rubble, 8 of our children died, and that 4 of our children were under the rubble, after the building where the athletes of Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality stayed after the earthquake disaster in Kahramanmaraş, which affected 4 provinces, collapsed.

In line with the latest information, we share with you the information that our children, Eray Şimşek, Halil İbrahim Erdine, Hasan Sarıtürk, Ozan Datlı and Ahmet Durman, who were under the rubble in Kahramanmaraş, have passed away with great sadness. Condolences to our community and our beloved nation.”
