Within the scope of Koç Holding Gender Equality Commitments, Koçfinans will cooperate with non-governmental organizations and Anatolian universities to contribute to the development of female engineers of the future with the Mentorship Program and Scholarship Program located under the umbrella of the 'Koçfinans Orange Wings Kindness Movement'.

In line with Koç Holding's global leadership at the UN Women's Generation Equality Forum, Koçfinans is taking an important step within the scope of its gender equality commitments in the field of technology and innovation. Koçfinans continues its efforts to realize its commitment to gender equality in the world of innovation by collaborating with non-governmental organizations and Anatolian universities. Within the scope of these studies, in order to increase the number of female employees in the field of technology, the 'Mentoring Program' was implemented in order to pave the way for young girls who study at the Faculties of Engineering and Science of Anatolian universities and who want to work in the field of technology and innovation, and to prepare them for professional life. In addition, as one of the main actions of the commitments, the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV), one of Turkey's leading non-governmental organizations, provides scholarship support to encourage young girls studying at Engineering and Science Faculties to work in the technology sector.

Koçfinans, one of the leading companies in its sector with a 50% female-male employee ratio, announced its commitments in March 2022 and emphasized the importance it attaches to the equality approach in the field of technology and innovation. Koçfinans; In this context, it had committed to raising awareness about gender equality in the world of technology and innovation with the projects it would implement, to increase the number of women employees in the field of technology and innovation, while maintaining the 50% female employee ratio throughout the company.

Within the scope of the Mentoring Program that started in December 2022; First of all, 33 successful and career-developing students studying at Eskişehir Technical University and Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University's Faculties of Engineering and Science will receive mentoring support for 11 academic year from a mentoring team of 1 people formed by the Koçfinans team. Prior to the program, it was aimed that both mentors and mentees would consciously gain efficiency from the program with the mentor/mentee trainings prepared by Digitallica in order for the mentees to gain maximum benefit by gaining a deep understanding of the concept of mentoring. Students participating in the program will have the chance to be evaluated for short and long-term internships in Koçfinans' IT and R&D teams, the opportunity to work remotely part-time, and to be employed within Koçfinans.

Koçfinans General Manager Y. Pınar Kitapçı stated that they are very happy to pave the way for young girls and give them hope within their commitment to gender equality. “We announced our understanding of 'Gender Equality' at the press conference we held with the participation of our group companies in March 2022. Right after that, as Koçfinans, we quickly focused on our own focus areas and designed projects with different modules. We positioned the projects we designed under the umbrella of the 'Koçfinans Orange Wings Kindness Movement', which we created by feeding on the sensitivity of our employees. All our stakeholders and employees, who shared our vision from the design and coordination of the projects, played an active role in the processes. I would like to state that the Mentoring Program created a great excitement for all of our employees. We want to expand this journey, which we embarked on with 33 bright young girls, in the next 5 years. In our mentoring program, young people will feel like a part of the Koçfinans team, experience every aspect of our agile working principle and gain equipment. Young people who graduate from the program will take a step forward in business life as qualified individuals who have gained experience in software competencies and data analytics R&D. We plan to reach more young university girls by adding different modules to the content of our Orange Wings project in the coming years.”
