“PENSE GIVEN WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE NATION”

Stating that the IMM campus where they met is the home of both the employees and the people of Istanbul, İmamoğlu said, “People; Where there is no equality and justice, there will be no peace. Justice is the foundation of the state. Even 'it is a religion,' says Hazrat Ali. Very important. It's like air and water. "In an unjust environment, it is impossible for anyone to find peace," he said. Expressing that Turkey wishes that there should be no poverty in terms of justice, İmamoğlu said, “In terms of the way of governing, our people choose the people who will govern them. When they don't like it, they send it. They continue when they like it. Or they choose someone new. It is necessary to act with this dimension. It cannot be understood that it is right if it is done to person A, and wrong if it is done to person B. No matter who is done, wrong is wrong," he said. Emphasizing that he knows that the decision taken regarding him and the investigations initiated against him in the last period are not accepted in the conscience of the nation, İmamoğlu said, “This is the main thing for us. But we don't want it to be like that. We want justice to always point us in the right direction. In this respect, I hope that it will result in a way that the national will is not harmed. And get back from this mistake. This is our desire.”

“I THINK WE GAVE A GOOD EXAM”

Emphasizing that unions are valuable and labor is sacred, İmamoğlu said, “We also care about the consultation law here, the common reasoning table on determining the needs here and determining the process accordingly. I think we have given a good test in this regard so far," he said. Pointing out that the peace of people will grow by "sharing" and "dividing", İmamoğlu said, "When there is no healthy division and sharing, we cannot talk about economic prosperity there. In this respect, I wish unionism to reach better days through all these basic feelings. Such beautiful topics: Rights, law, freedom, equality, justice, sharing, dividing, the sanctity of the blessing, the unique sharing of that blessing by 86 million people who also own all the land… I see our country as our home. Shareholders of a house are the members of that house. The shareholders of this country are our 86 million people. No shareholder is entitled to more shares than another.

“AS THE PRESIDENT OF IMM, I HAVE NO RIGHTS MORE THAN A GUM OF MY COUNTRIES, IT IS RELATED TO THE CITY”

“Happy homes build happy individuals; Imamoglu said:

“To separate, to distance, to collide, to fight, to try to read the things that cannot be read or measured, to try to measure; such as faith, such as nationalism. I am one of those who think that such matters should not be a matter of politics. Therefore, I hope we will reach this virtuous time period together. Because the people who will benefit from this are really the people of this country. Today, as the IMM President, I do not have a single gram more right than all my fellow citizens of Istanbul, regarding this city. I am an equal person with all of you. My only difference is; you authorized me. 'You rule Istanbul. We also look after your task, if it is correct, if it is good, if there is something better, we will hand it over to him. If there is no better, or if you say, 'We believe you do better', we will continue. That's what the issue is.”

“I HOPE NO ONE HAS EXPERIENCED LAWN, INJUSTICE”

Emphasizing that the political power is sometimes in the wrong by the judiciary, sometimes by the inspectors and sometimes by the prosecutors, İmamoğlu said, “I wish, I hope; let them come back. I don't want an gram of the benefit it provides me politically. I love to fight bravely. In other words, I don't have a desire or a demand to get ahead with the advantage I get from here. I; I would like to struggle with my ingenuity, my effort, my work. Whoever wins in such a struggle, in such a beautiful race, will be respected anyway. So that's the fight we're already doing. Politics is not a profession either. As much as God wills. It's that simple. Your visit was very valuable to me. Thank you. God bless you all. I hope that no one will experience unlawfulness and injustice," he said.

YILMAZ: “What comes with the box, leaves with the box”

Yılmaz, Chairman of the Hak-İş Disciplinary Board and Öz Güven-Sen Union Chairman, also reacted to the punishment given to İmamoğlu in his speech. “What comes with democracy goes with democracy, what comes with the ballot box goes with the ballot box. We are of this mindset,” Yılmaz said, adding:

“That's why we say get well soon to my President. Also, he just came from Umrah. May Allah accept it for him. We wish the success of our Metropolitan Mayor to continue. We have approached four years in the organization period here. We have completed the first term in almost all of our unions and started a new contract for the second term. That's why, Mr. President, here I would like to thank Mr. Yiğit, Mr. Ali, Abiye Erkut, the General Manager of İSTGÜVEN, for being our teacher, I thank you very much for appointing such a bureaucrat. Believe me -it will be a bit of praise, but- their quality is high. This shows the value you give to these people. When we got together with friends, we did not fail to respect each other. They hosted us in the best way possible. We made the best deal. Hopefully, we look forward to these efforts in the second term. Also, Mahmut Bey has a lot of greetings. He had another program. That's why he couldn't come. He apologized. He said, 'Say hello to my President for me. God bless you. You did not always isolate us in this process, you did not defer us. Believe me, we are very satisfied on behalf of the workers. The workers are also satisfied. Thank you for that too.

INTERESTING SIMILARITY FROM RİZELİ SENDİKACI HANÇERLİOĞLU: “THEY ARE HEATING THEM OWN BUT THEY ARE NOT AWARE”

One of the trade unionists who expressed their views at the meeting was Öz Gıda İş Deputy Chairman Tevfik Ali Hançerlioğlu. At the beginning of his speech, Hançerlioğlu stated that he was from Rize and used the following expressions:

“We thank you very much for everything. Indeed, you have broken the taboos in our minds. Latter; If they say 'Describe you like this', 'Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu If they say, 'Who is he, what kind of man is he,' I would say: I do good human analysis according to myself. I say, for example; -I'm very sorry to say-'Ekrem İmamoğluYou will shoot . You went, you said 'Salamulaikum', you said 'Hello', without speaking Ekrem İmamoğluYou shot, you shot. You failed to hit; If you draw your gun, you shoot yourself. Some groups shoot themselves but are not aware of it. May Allah make your way clear. We have nothing to say here. I mean honestly. When that first municipality changed, we thought that a lot would change here. The General Managers of both Halk Ekmek and Hamidiye Su are here. We are now breaking our taboos. We were used to normal general managers. We saw you, we saw the quality, we saw the valuable, we saw the principles, we saw the stance, we saw the personality, we saw the knowledge and skill. Now we started to look at whether there are such general managers. We are human after all; we research, we criticize, we see, we also work. On behalf of my Confederation and Öz-Gıda-İş Union, I would like to thank you wholeheartedly.”
