'ALL OF THE WORKS ARE BROUGHT THROUGH DONATION'
Providing information about the museum, Samsun City Museum Unit Supervisor, Art Historian Nilgün Sarıçoban said, “The city museum is the work of many years of work. Not only the field research, but also as a result of the symposiums and our meetings with scientists, there is a great effort of work. The City Museum is very important to our city. After the expropriation of two buildings belonging to the State Railways, it was converted into a museum. No works were purchased through purchase. All of the works were brought by donation. This is a work that has emerged with the efforts of our citizens, who have given their hearts to Samsun. The two buildings are connected by a glass tunnel. While the first building usually describes the historical process, the second building mostly consists of sections where our traditions and customs, our culinary culture, our education history and our districts are explained.”
