Expressing that Samsun has a very important place in sports with its strong infrastructure in all branches, President Mustafa Demir said, “Atakum - Kurupelit football field project with tribune was put out to tender. Bids are currently being evaluated. Construction work will begin shortly. Good luck to our city and our young people in advance," he said.
In Samsun, one of the cities with a strong sports infrastructure in Turkey, the Metropolitan Municipality is strengthening the infrastructure in the branches needed. The municipality, which has implemented many projects from indoor sports halls to swimming pools in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is preparing to bring sports facilities under construction to the city.
SPORTS COMPLEX CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES
The construction of Ilkadım Sports Complex and Semi-Olympic Swimming Pool Project, which will be realized in the area next to Samsun Anatolian High School for handball, basketball, volleyball and swimming branches, continues at full speed. Official tournaments will be able to be held when the 1160-storey complex, which includes a competition hall with a capacity of 3 spectators, training fields, fitness center, sauna and fin bath, is completed.
IMPORTANT LOCATION FOR CLUBS
Mustafa Dagestanli, who was trained in shooting, basketball, volleyball, karate, taekwondo, judo, mua thai, kick box, boxing, fencing, weightlifting, wrestling, darts, fitness, chess, badminton, table tennis, weightlifting, fencing and wrestling branches. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which has increased the functionality of the Indoor Sports Hall, has also made Ilkadım Derebahçe Facilities, which it has renovated and transformed into a stadium, a modern location for clubs that will go from amateur to 3rd League.
INVEST IN FOOTBALL FROM METROPOLITAN
In addition to these, the Metropolitan Municipality will build a FIFA standard football field with a 500-person tribune and locker rooms in the Atakum district, Büyükoyumca Mahallesi. The tender process for the project is expected to be completed. The project, which will be built on an area of 1695 square meters, will include a training ground, locker room, referee and trainer rooms, warehouses and a parking lot for 140 cars.
Stating that Samsun has a very important place in sports with its strong infrastructure in all branches, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir noted that they want to increase this potential even more. Expressing that they are struggling to increase sportive success in all branches besides football in Samsun, President Demir said, “We attach great importance to sports, especially in order to protect our children and youth from bad habits and to ensure that they grow up as healthy individuals. The increase in their interest in sports in recent years makes us happy and spurs us on what we can do better for them. We are trying to prepare all kinds of sports infrastructure for our athletes who will successfully represent our country and city in national and international championships by carrying our country and our city into the future. The project of the gym with swimming pool, which we will bring to Kılıçdede Mahallesi, continues. We will also build modern and high-level football fields in Canik, Çabonözü and Atakum.
