Reflective Stickers and Armbands for Students from ABB

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which started to distribute reflective bag stickers last year in order to ensure the life safety of students who go to school early in the morning before daylight due to the fixed clock practice, has also started to distribute reflective armbands this year in cooperation with the Finnish Embassy.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented practices that prioritize life safety in the city, continues the application of reflective bag stickers, which it started last year with the slogan "Safe Ankara, Safe Pedestrian". In addition, this year, reflective armbands are distributed in schools in cooperation with ABB and the Finnish Embassy.

Reflective stickers and armbands are distributed free of charge to all schools throughout the city, within the scope of the application carried out by the Ankara Police in order to ensure that students are noticed in traffic.

20 THOUSAND STICKERS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED

Stating that 10 thousand reflective stickers were distributed last year within the scope of the application aimed at ensuring the safety of students while commuting to school in the dark, Olcay Erdal, Head of Police Department, said, "This year, we will ensure that 20 thousand reflective stickers are attached to the bags of our students through our Police teams."

In addition, this year, ABB's reflective sticker application was diversified and a cooperation was signed with the Finnish Embassy. Within the scope of the new application, 750 reflective armbands will be distributed in the first stage.

Students and their parents at Şehit Battal Primary School and Cebeci Secondary School, where safe pedestrian stickers and reflective armbands were distributed, thanked ABB for the implementation with the following words:

Hamidiye Stone: “Due to the permanent daylight saving time, I send my children to school in the dark, they are afraid when they go to school. With the reflective sticker application, both the drivers see the children and our children can go to school safely. I would like to thank everyone who contributed."

Suat Bozok: “We set out with my child before it gets light. This affects both us and our child negatively. This sticker, distributed by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to children, is very beautiful, so they can be seen in the dark.”
