The 10.000 Schools Project in Secondary Education was prepared in order to create school environments that support academic, social, emotional and physical development, to reduce the differences in achievement between schools, and to strengthen the equality of opportunity and opportunity in education.

In order to create school environments that support academic, social, emotional and physical development in high schools, to reduce success gaps between schools, and to strengthen equality of opportunity and opportunity in education, the Ministry of National Education prepared the 10.000 Schools Project in Secondary Education upon the instruction of Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer. A budget of 10.000 billion TL has been allocated for the "4 Schools in Secondary Education Project" to be implemented this year.

The project was also included in the President's Decision on the Adoption and Implementation of the 2023 Investment Program published in yesterday's duplicate issue of the Official Gazette.

With the project, it is aimed to increase the quality at all levels of education by supporting the disadvantaged areas in secondary education levels of schools and institutions affiliated to the General Directorates of Secondary Education, Religious Education, Vocational and Technical Education, Special Education and Guidance Services.

In this context, the needs determined by the entry of the schools to the data tracking module created within the Information Systems of the Ministry of National Education were approved after being checked by the commissions established in the district and provincial national education directorates.

Any school in need of repair and equipment will benefit

Project; “Improving physical conditions, training of administrators, teachers and parents, academic success support, social, cultural and sportive activities”.

Every school in need of repair and equipment will benefit from the scope of improving physical conditions. In this context, redesigning all the environments of the schools in accordance with the rules of cleanliness and hygiene and at the same time with savings and environmental awareness, designing the standards of the teachers' room, improving the living spaces in the student hostels, beautifying the general physical appearance of the schools, strengthening the laboratories of physics, chemistry, biology and information technologies. taking.

Training will be given to administrators, teachers and parents

As a result of the studies carried out by the Ministry of National Education in this field, the data obtained from the field were enriched with literature research and education topics were determined for "administrators, teachers and parents".

Manager and teacher trainings will be carried out in cooperation with the General Directorate of Teacher Training and Development, the General Directorate of Personnel and the provincial national education directorates. Necessary studies will be carried out within the scope of professional development societies, manager teacher mobility and school-based professional development programs.

The project will proceed in conjunction with the Family School Project.

Emphasis will be placed on academic success support and developing basic skills.

Within the scope of the project, support mechanisms will be created to help students gain the skills they will need throughout their lives and to increase their academic success, and students will be provided with material and book support to increase academic success. In addition, students who need support in basic skills training will be supported with appropriate materials, books and courses.

Social, cultural and sports activities will be supported

With the activities of the 10.000 Schools Project in secondary education, central and local activities that will serve to develop students' social and emotional skills as well as high-level thinking skills will be carried out during their learning process.

The Ministry of National Education allocated a budget of 10.000 billion liras for the "4 Schools in Basic Education Project", which was completed last year in order to reduce the differences in success and opportunity between schools and to strengthen the equality of opportunity in education.
