CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu attended the Romani Gathering hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. Kılıçdaroğlu said that they are fighting for justice and right in a Turkey where no child goes to bed hungry and said, “I will continue to stand by everyone who demands justice and rights”.
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP), addressed the citizens at the Romany Gathering, hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, by the CHP Deputy Chairman for Social Policies. Speaking at the meeting in front of the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center, CHP Leader Kılıçdaroğlu said that they will defend the rights of everyone living in the country. Kılıçdaroğlu, emphasizing that everyone is equal in terms of rights, said, “If you do not want rights, no one will give you your rights. Demanding justice, demanding justice also means fighting. It also means standing by those who fulfill their claim. We are having a nice meeting, maybe we are holding such a nice meeting for the first time in Turkey. Our mayors are here. Our 58 mayors brought our Roma brothers from 58 different regions.”
“CHP produces solutions to the problems of all segments”
Saying that the rights of the Roma have been ignored for a long time, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, “I have stood by everyone who demanded justice and rights, and I will continue to stand by them. Do not worry. No one's belief, identity or lifestyle should be grounds for discrimination. Respecting everyone's identity, lifestyle and belief must be the common duty of all politicians. I respect all of you and I want something from you. When I go to the ballot box, I expect a stance on the side of the CHP. For the first time in the history of the Republic of Turkey, the CHP brought a Roman MP to the parliament. What does this mean? CHP means a party that produces solutions to the problems of all segments of society.
“We are fighting to bring justice”
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu wanted everyone to take care of the CHP and said: “Therefore, you have to protect the CHP as much as I do. When you go to the ballot box, I want you to put a seal under the six arrows. I also know the problems of inmate families. Don't worry. I also know of those who were wrongfully arrested. I also know of those who were unjustly detained. I also know that there is no justice in this country. Remember; Mr. Kemal's fight is to bring justice to the state of the Republic of Turkey. I need your support to bring justice. If you do not show your support, we will bring justice to every inch of Turkey's land. We will fight together.”
“Let's bring Turkey to the light together”
Kılıçdaroğlu said that they want to bring a minimum income guarantee to every family and person with the family support insurance they want to implement. Expressing that they are fighting for a Turkey where no child goes to bed hungry, Kılıçdaroğlu concluded his speech with the following words: “Our struggle is the struggle for rights. It is a struggle for justice, a struggle for sweat. It is a struggle for Turkey where no child goes to bed hungry. We know what happened to the mother who couldn't put food in her lunchboxes. Let's walk together and bring Turkey to the light together. In order to fulfill all your demands, me and my friends will do the necessary work in the assembly.”
“Together we will establish a Turkey where law and justice prevail”
Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer He said that it is possible to establish another Turkey. President Soyer said, “There is very little left, we will establish it. Under the leadership of our President, we will establish a completely different Turkey. Together, we will establish a Turkey where we will embrace each other with a smiling face, a Turkey where our children do not go to bed hungry, and a Turkey where law and justice prevail”.
