As of January 2023, C4 X and electric ë-C4 X joined the cars of the Citroen world that add comfort and color to life. The new compact class representative C2022 X, which Citroen made its world premiere in June 4 in Istanbul, was put on sale in Turkey at the same time as the electric ë-C4 X version.
The Citroen C722.000 X model family, which has been offered for sale with prices starting from 4 TL for the launch, also draws attention with its place in the market with its gasoline, diesel and electric options at the same time. Thus, breaking new ground in the Turkish automotive market, Citroen provides customers with the freedom to choose the most suitable version for them. The Citroen C4 X and Citroen electric ë-C4 X also show an elegant design approach for consumers looking for an alternative to traditional 4-door car or SUV models. Citroen Turkey General Manager Selen Alkım made an evaluation about the Citroen C4 X and the electric ë-C4 X, which were put on sale in our country with the new year; “In addition to our renewed model range, we are breaking new ground in our country by offering the Citroen C4 X, our key model for our brand to reach high volumes, with both gasoline and diesel engine options as well as its 100% electric version at the same time,” he said.
“4 different equipment packages”
While 4 different equipment packages are offered in Citroen C4 X as Feel, Feel Bold, Shine and Shine Bold, the electric ë-C4 X can only be preferred with the Shine Bold version, which is the highest equipment option. ABS, ESP, tire pressure warning, hill start assist, emergency assistance, front, side and curtain airbags, cruise control and limiter, driver fatigue warning system, front and rear electric windows, automatic headlights, 6-way adjustable Driver's seat, 1/3 by 2/3 folding rear seats, height and depth adjustable steering wheel are offered as standard. Depending on equipment, lane positioning assistant, high beam assist, sunroof, LED daytime running light and light signature, ECO-LED headlights, rear tinted glass, keyless entry and start, 10-inch color TFT touchscreen display, 5-inch digital display, wireless The Citroen C6 X model family can be personalized with equipment such as Carplay and Android Auto, navigation, Head-up Display, 4-way adjustable passenger seat, front heated seats, heated steering wheel and smart tablet support.
“A first in Turkey: gasoline, diesel and electric at the same time”
The Citroen C4 X model family also draws attention with the title of being the first model to hit the road with 3 different power units, including electric. The 4 PureTech engine of the Citroen C1.2 X delivers 6 HP and 100 Nm of torque with a 205-speed manual transmission, while the EAT8 has 8 HP and 130 Nm of torque with an 230-speed automatic transmission. On the diesel front, the 1.5-liter BlueHDI combines 130 HP and 300 Nm of torque with the EAT8, 8-stage automatic transmission, where high performance and efficiency are best provided. The average fuel consumption of Citroen C4 X models is between 4,3 and 4,9 lt/100 km (WLTP). Citroen electric ë-C4 X offers 136 HP and 260 Nm of torque. With its 50 kWh battery capacity, it can be charged from 100 percent to 30 percent in 10 minutes at speed charging stations (Fast DC-80 kW). This time is 50 minutes for 55 kW fast charging stations. In 7.4 kW accelerated (AC) stations, 100% battery charge rate can be reached in 7,5 hours. With an energy consumption of 15,3 kWh/100 km, Citroen electric ë-C4 X has a range of 360 km.
“Original and different design”
With a length of 4.600 mm and a wheelbase of 2.670 mm, the new C4 X and electric ë-C4 X use Stellantis' CMP platform. The front features Citroen's assertive V design signature. The high and horizontal engine hood has concave recesses. The brand's logo emphasizes the width of the body by linking with the Citroen LED Vision headlights, which increase the emphasis on advanced technology and improve vision. On either side of the hexagonal lower grille are fog lamp bezels with colored inserts to match the Airbump® panels on the doors.
When viewed from the profile, the flowing roof line extending from the windshield to the rear trunk lid draws attention and creates an extremely dynamic fastback silhouette instead of the cumbersome structure seen in high vehicles in the segment. The rear design deftly conceals the length required to cover the large 510-litre boot. The rear panel of the tailgate, which curves towards the rear bumper, the integrated spoiler at the top, the subtle curves and the central Citroen lettering present a modern and dynamic look. The striking new LED taillights carry the lines of the trunk lid, cover the corners, continue on the side of the car, take the shape of an arrow before the rear door, and reinforce the dynamism of the silhouette by completing the design of the striking headlights. The lower inserts of the rear bumper are covered with matte black inserts for protection and durability.
New Citroen C4 X: comfortable and spacious
The interior of the new Citroen electric ë-C4 X and C4 X offers enhanced comfort, peace and spaciousness thanks to Citroen Advanced Comfort. 198 mm rear legroom and a more inclined (27 degrees) rear seat backrest take the comfort level of rear passengers to the next level. With a trunk width of 1.800 mm and shoulder room of 1.366 mm, the rear seats are comfortable for three people. Advanced Comfort Seats, 15 mm thickened special padding offers dynamic support. Passengers can enjoy the ride in a comfortable seat, isolated from the noise and disturbances of the road. The high-density padding in the center of the seats provides a high level of strength and optimum comfort on long journeys.
Citroen's innovative and special Gradual Hydraulic Assisted Suspension® system provides unforgettable journeys to the driver and accompanying passengers with its advanced level of comfort. In large impacts, the spring and damper work together with the hydraulic compression or rebound stop to gradually slow the movement and prevent jolts. Unlike a mechanical stop that absorbs energy and then returns some of it as an impact, a hydraulic stopper absorbs and distributes this energy. The suspension works in two stages, depending on the applied voltage. In light compression and back pressure situations, the spring and shock absorber control the vertical movements together without the help of hydraulic stoppers. The hydraulic stoppers also give Citroen engineers more freedom to adjust the suspension setup for the “flying carpet” effect that gives the car a gliding feel on uneven ground.
“A unique experience on every journey with panoramic glass roof and ambient lighting”
Light and ambience make every journey a unique experience with the electric ë-C4 X and C4 X. The electric ë-C4 X and C4 X also feature a large electric panoramic sunroof. While the panoramic glass roof illuminates the passenger compartment, the rear headroom is not restricted thanks to the clever design. The sunshade helps protect from intense sun rays. Thanks to the LED ambient lighting on the digital instrument panel, which is compatible with the white backlighting of the in-car comfort functions, and the front and rear interior lighting, a pleasant and reassuring environment is created when driving at night.
“Functional and spacious luggage to meet all the needs of the family”
The 4-liter large trunk of the new Citroen C4 X and electric ë-C510 X will be especially welcomed by users who expect an isolated trunk from the main cabin and attach importance to rear seat comfort. The 745mm height between the 164mm loading sill and the boot floor makes it easy to load items. The rear seat backs fold forward for additional carrying capacity, and the luggage access compartment in the armrest makes transporting long items easier.
To meet the expectations of today's users, Citroen not only offers a large trunk, but also offers various storage solutions in the cabin. It offers a total storage volume of 16 liters with up to 39 open or closed compartments, each of which offers practical and daily use.
With the Tablet Holder integrated into the dashboard and designed to carry a tablet computer, it makes the time spent by the front passenger in the cabin even more enjoyable. Below that is the dashboard drawer, a large movable sliding drawer with dampers. A special non-slip surface makes it easier and safer to store personal valuables and breakables. The glove compartment just below the front console drawer also increases the perception of quality with its soft opening movement.
While the center console is designed high and wide, the large area in front of the console is designed to maximize the storage volume. An anti-slip partition hides some objects while keeping others within easy reach. The center console features an open wireless charging area. Again, there are two USB sockets, one of which is Type C. There is a storage area in front of the gear selector for small items. There is also a large storage compartment with two cup holders and a sliding door, and a large storage area under the center armrest.
