“An average of 26 billion kWh of electrical energy can be saved annually”

In his presentation; Masdaf Business Development Manager Sibel Akan, drawing attention to the application areas of pump technologies and their place in the world's energy consumption:

“The energy consumption of pump systems used in buildings, industry, infrastructure applications, water supply, wastewater applications and heating, cooling and ventilation systems covers approximately 25 percent of the energy consumption in the world. With smart pump solutions that use energy resources efficiently, an average of 26 billion kWh of electrical energy can be saved annually. With this savings, it is possible to prevent 13 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year. However, in order to save energy in pump systems, it is necessary to evaluate the efficiency of electric motors first. Because 70 percent of the electricity used in the industry is consumed by electric motors. In addition, 20 percent of the total energy consumption in the world and 30 percent of the industrial energy is consumed by pumps. With a correct system design and appropriate pump selection, it is possible to save 30 percent of the energy consumed.” said. Sibel Akan also in her speech; He also shared information on the right pump selection criteria, eco design regulations and sanctions.

Masdaf Strategic Product Marketing Manager Ezgi Baba is in the training; explained the importance and selection criteria of fire pumps:

“It is possible to minimize the damages caused by fires with fire pumps, which are used in the pressurization of watery fire extinguishing systems in buildings and industrial facilities and offer effective solutions in firefighting.

In the selection of pumps for efficient and high performance operation of fire pumps selected for buildings or industrial facilities; It is necessary to pay attention to the NPSH value, the water velocity in the suction and the pressure loss values in the discharge line, the selection of the motor and the UL/FM approval of the pump and equipment.”
