Mars Logistics, one of Turkey's leading logistics companies, continues its sustainable growth and closes 2022 with a turnover of 515 million euros and a growth of 29% on a euro basis. Established in 1989, Mars Logistics offers all logistics services to its customers in an integrated manner, with 2344 employees, 38 branches and warehouses in total at home and abroad.

Mars Logistics Chairman of the Board of Directors Garip Sahillioğlu stated that they will close the year 2022 with a turnover of 515 million euros and a growth of 29%, and said:

“We had targeted 2022% growth in 10, and at the end of the year, we achieved a growth above our target with 29%. Our target in 2023 is 12% growth.”

Stating that they provide service to approximately 500 companies in all sectors, including approximately 2.000 companies in the automotive sector and 8.000 companies in the textile sector, Sahillioğlu stated that their domestic and international growth strategies will continue.

“Investments will continue in 2023”

Mars Logistics, which is one of the youngest and largest fleets in Turkey, with a fleet of 4.000 self-owned vehicles, carries out complete/partial import and export road transport for key sectors of foreign trade, especially automotive, textile, retail, construction, cosmetics and energy. will continue to invest in the fleet. In addition to the 2023 million euro fleet investment it made last year, the company plans to invest around 60 million euros in 2023.

Incorporating 2022 self-owned wagons in 90, Mars Logistics is the first company to export to Europe with its owner's wagons produced and registered in Turkey with this investment. Referring to the Hadımköy Logistics Center Rooftop Solar Power Plant project, Sahillioğlu said, “Sustainability is one of the issues we focus on the most. We act with a business approach that respects nature, both in transportation modes and in every field within the company. In this context, apart from the waste management activities, rain water harvesting, and documentless office portals, we have produced more energy than the energy consumed by all domestic facilities of Mars with our Hadımköy Logistics Center Roof Top SPP project, which we have implemented in the past years. In this way, with the electricity produced; We saved 2021 tons of CO1.472e in 2 and 2022 tons of CO1,516e in 2," he said.

Stating that they published the Corporate Sustainability Manifesto in 2022, Sahillioğlu said that their work and renewable energy investments will continue in 2023 and beyond, and that the number of customers for whom they regularly calculate and report carbon emissions has increased by 70% compared to the previous year.

In 2023, Mars will switch to net zero emission construction equipment in its logistics warehouses, thanks to renewable energy produced with lithium-ion battery construction machines and electrical equipment, which are renewed within the scope of the "Work Equipment Renovation Project". The company, which will also publish its Sustainability Report this year, will also receive the ISO 50001 Energy Management System certificate.

Stating that they opened the Technopark office in 2022 to further expand their R&D activities, Sahillioğlu emphasized that they will increase the programs and projects they produce in 2023.
