- 2004, July 22 – Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu accelerated train, which was on the Istanbul - Ankara expedition, derailed in Mekece Village near Pamukova District of Sakarya and overturned. 36 people died in the accident, 74 people were injured.

- 2018, 8 July – Uzunköprü – Istanbul-Halkalı While the passenger train was passing near Çorlu, 5 wagons overturned as a result of the slipping of the soil culvert under the rails due to precipitation. 25 people died in the accident and 317 people were injured.
- 2018, 13 December – Ankara Marşandiz high speed train accident HT 06 high speed train departing from Ankara High Speed Train Station at 30:80101 and moving towards Konya Station, Marşandiz Train Station located between Yenimahalle and Etimesgut districts of Ankara. It has occurred as a result of the collision with the E 68041 guide locomotive, which was controlling the road. It was stated that 206 injured and 107 people lost their lives in the train with 9 passengers.
